Hlid Camping& Guesthouse
Hlíð Camping & Guesthouse is the perfect place to use as a home base while you explore Northern Iceland and the Myvatn area. Located on the northern shore of lake Mývatn and in the middle of a 300 year old lava field with breathtaking views of the lake. There are multiple accommodations to choose from including the campground, hotel accommodations with nine small double rooms, cottages that accommodate up to 4 guests, mini cottages that fit 2 and the guesthouse that fits up to 13 people. We had the opportunity to stay in one of the cottages on the hill overlooking the lake and the lava fields.
How To Get There:
Located 1km outside the town of Myvatn on the right handside as head northeast along the Ring Road.
Checking In / Checking Out:
The property manager will provide you with a lock box code + where to find it. There will be no one on the island to meet you upon arrival.
